On Theopnuestos

My fellow blogger on this site (Rick) sent me a link by e-mail which was a blog post of a list of answers to the question of “What’s the message of the Bible in one sentence?” The answers were pretty fun, with a few John 3:16 stuff thrown in and a fantasy version supplied by Doug Wilson. One that struck me was a simple answer by Mark Seifrid: “Verbum caro factum est.” Of all of the answers, I think this sums it all up quite nicely. The message of the God-breathed Word is that the Father breathed the Spirit forth and Mary conceived the human nature of the person of Jesus of Nazareth, the Eternal Word/Son of God. Pretty spectacular!
