“The Christian Faith” by Michael Horton

I finally broke down and ordered a copy of Michael Horton’s new book The Christian Faith: A Systematic Theology for Pilgrims on the Way. From everything I’ve read, both the reviews on the internet and the excerpts I’ve seen, this is going to be an amazing book (of course, the fact that I realized I had an Amazon gift card helped, too). WTS Books immediately sold out, and it’s unclear whether they have them in stock, but Amazon appears to have them here. Here is a short clip of Horton talking about the book:

Here are several posts and interviews about the book:

It seems to be popular to say that Horton’s book will be the Presbyterian/Reformed equivalent of Grudem’s ST, but Horton and those closest to him have been clear in saying that it strives to be more than that; although it comes to Reformed conclusions, it truly is a summary of the Christian Faith proper.

I have really wanted to read through Grudem for a long time, and I still want to do so, but I think this book has taken priority.
