About Legs and the Acquisition Thereof

Hopefully a consistent attempt by two twentysomething members of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church to keep a blog about things that ought to get legs over at presbytery. But, alas, we will settle for the mere rest of the world.

About Rick Lindsey: I am currently completing my fourth year in Loma Linda University’s MD/PhD program. In 2012, I graduated from Biola University with a degree in biochemistry, and I am a perpetual member of Biola’s Torrey Honors Institute, a great books program taught in the Socratic style. I intend to use my education from both Biola and LLU to pursue a career in medical research with an eye toward understanding and eliminating health disparities. Moreover, I am interested in Christian theology and philosophy of science, and I want to contribute to both science and the way people perceive and relate to science. In an effort “to glorify God and to enjoy him forever” (Westminster Shorter Catechism), I want to ensure that Man’s conquest of Nature does not become Nature’s conquest of Man (CS Lewis, The Abolition of Man).

About Will Sprague: I am 25 years old from Torrance, a city in Los Angeles county. I live with my beautiful wife Jessica and our lovely daughter. I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a B.A. in Japanese. My day job is freight forwarding at LAX airport. My night gig is reading awesome books, and diagramming passages from Scripture and thinking hard about the sorts of things that we discuss on our blog. The pay isn’t great for my night job ($0.00 per hour), but it is certainly worth every minute.
